What you are REALLY complaining about is the disappearance of the fringe, alternative bands, who never sold that many anyway (no, really, they didn't, DC Talk excepted). The Christian Industry ALWAYS had way more music that you (probably) didn't like, a la Sandi Patti, The Imperials, The Spurrlows, David and the Giants, Dallas Holm and Praise, etc., etc., etc.

And try and dig up some sales figures for the old Scripture in Song, Fisherfolk and Maranatha Praise albums, selling through the roof even then. Of course then came the John Wimber/Vineyard praise albums, then Hosanna/Integrity with a new album every month by subscription. Trust me, it's not that praise music suddenly got popular, it didn't, it's just all the acts you used to look at disappeared.

Without a CCM magazine smokescreen to blur your vision slightly, suddenly you see the genre that has always been the actual high-grossing one.

All that said, glad you found a band you like!

(P.S. It wasn't all amazing, just some of it. I miss the amazing stuff too. But the new Choir sounds promising, after some lacklustre albums from them).

Actually i've looked into Backblace... and didn't really like it. I have an Amazon S3 Account, you pay for what you use, and let me say, it is dirt cheap!!
So far i have a few GB up there, as my uploading is restricted by our great uploading speeds on our awesome ISP network! but it's only cost me so far for probably over 6 months... not even over $2.... i'm serious....
Amazon S3 craps over all online storage solutions :)

I do not know why you went with a Cable connection... YES it can get up to 30mbps... but that is if NO ONE in your area is using it as well. Cable has a shared bandwidth in the neighborhood and and closer neighborhoods too.. i guess to the phone exchange area...
ADSL/ADSL2+ is a growing technology and i think is better than cable IMHO...
Here in Australia we're not going to get a decent thing going until the NBN is in full effect, where we will have Fibre to the Home in most metro places and Fibre to the Node (exchange) in everywhere else.... Until then we will be stuck with the median ADSL2+ downloads and Upload speeds. Once those uploads increase, invest in an online backup company! cos those will sure flourish when those speeds increase!!
I LOVE Amazon's S3 service.... the only thing from keeping me uploading my entire back up image, is our upload speeds in this country...

Anywayyyy yeh :) Ditch Telstra, and stay on the ADSL2+ service, it can only get better, where cable will not...
